German envoy to India at ‘Sivarathri’ bhajan in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The holy and auspicious ‘Shivarathri’ on March 11th 2021- Thursday- has not only given a devotional experience to the people of an ‘agraharam’ in Kerala capital city Trivandrum, but also left a DIPLOMATIC BLISS for the devotees who turned up in large numbers to take part in the chant Lord Shiva festivities yesterday.

Mr.Walter Johannes Lindner, Germany’s Ambassador to India, was a surprise visitor to the ‘Shivaratri’ devotional special events and bhajans at Valiachalai Street in Thiruvananthapuram held at Sree Mahaganapathi Bhajana Madom, here on 11th March 2021 evening with a specially organized ‘Japa Yagnam’.

A press release received by ‘Lotus Times’ news website (www.lotustimes.org) on Thursday has said that divine slokas and prayers were rendered at this ‘Shivaratri’ celebrations at Valiachalai Street in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Mr.Walter Johannes Lindner, Ambassador of Germany to India, has made a surprise visit and he was accorded a warm traditional welcome near Sri Mahaganapathi Temple at Valiachalai Street in Thiruvananthapuram on 11th March 2021 by Mr.N.Lakshmana Iyer president of Chalai Grama Brahmana Samudayam (CGBS) in the presence of a large number of devotees, the press release informed.

“This is a great opportunity for me to visit the ‘agraharam’ here in Thiruvananthapuram today and I am proud of getting a chance to visit a sacred place where special prayers were taking place,” the 64-year-old German diplomat Mr.Walter J Lindner said today after listening to the special prayers/ slokas/ bhajans spending some time with the devotees there.

Mr.M.Sriram, CGBS committee member and Mr.H.Ramasubramaniam (Ramji), were among those who were present during the German envoy’s visit to VALIACHALAI STREET in THIRUVANANTHAPURAM on ‘Sivarathri’ – March 11th 2021- Thursday evening.
