MADURAI: The Madurai Division of Southern Railway had earned Rs.1.88 crore through freight trains in a day, which is the first time highest in this fiscal. RITES has laid a goods siding from Tirupparankundram to Kappalur HPCL storage point to facilitate transportation of petroleum products upto the point of consignee’s premises. Trial run has been conducted on this new goods siding recently.
