MADURAI: Senior IAS officer and Monitoring Officer for Madurai district Dr.B.Chandramohan today inspected several places in Madurai city- on 6th October 2020- to take stock of the preparedness of rains expected because of North East monsoon and weather changes.
Along with Madurai District Collector DrT.G.Vinay, Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan, district authorities and corporation senior officials, he went to the places for inspecting the works required to prevent inconvenience and ensure safety of residents in those areas during the NE monsoon rains.
A press release from Madurai Corporation here today informed that senior IAS officer and monitoring officer Dr.B.Chandramohan had inspected on 6th October 2020 at Aavin Junction, Sivaganga Road, Vaigai riverbed, Panaiyur channel zero pint shutter place, Teppakulam- Viraganoor junction point, Thenkarai, Bypass Road, Muthupatti, Harveypatti and other locations. He had instructed the authorities to take immediate steps for preventing water stagnation in Madurai city and safety measured needed ahead of the monsoon rains.
Madurai DRO Mr.Selvaraj, City Engineer Mr.S.Arasu, Madurai Corporation Assistant Commissioners Mr.Sekar, Mr.Premkumar, and Mr.Ravichandran, health / sanitary inspectors were among those present during the inspection undertaken Dr.B.Chandramohan in Madurai city today, the press release said.
