Our waste our responsibility: Madurai Corporation drive

MADURAI: The Royal Garden Residents Welfare Association in Madurai is coming in for a lot of appreciation from various quarters for its cleanliness drive, green mission and cooperation to the Madurai Corporation. Its efforts and support with participation of 200 families in Royal Garden premises (Near Vikram Hospital before Karupayoorani here) to convert waste into compost under the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ mission is being shown as a model.

On 15th September 2020, Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan handed over compost bins to the residents of Royal Garden residential premises (an area situated in Madurai Corporation Zone-2). “OUR WASTE OUR RESPONSIBILITY. This was the message sent out to the people of Madurai city by the Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan today,” a press release here informed and added that waste / garbage disposal must be done and handled in a proper manner for cleanliness mission.

Corporation ACHO Dr.Vinodh Raja, Royal Garden Residents Welfare Association Secretary Mr.Malaisamy, association president Mr.Aasaithambi, association treasurer Mr.Krishnadas, Madurai Corporation PRO Mr.Chithravel, Health Officer RajKannan, Health Inspector Ramasubramanian and others were among those present at today’s important event here in Madurai city- 15th September 2020.
