MADURAI: A very strong cautious alert was given by gastroenterology expert doctors of Meenakshi Super Speciality Hospital in Madurai to mark World Liver Day 2025 today-April 19th 2025-to create public awareness about ‘Healthy Liver, Healthy Life’ and how fatty liver affects people due to alcohol consumption and also due to dietary and lifestyle factors.

Doctors of Meenakshi Super Speciality Hospital in Madurai had addressed a press meet in Madurai today afternoon to brief the importance of avoiding alcohol and maintaining ideal body weight with regular exercise in order to maintain liver health.

Dr.Ramesh Ardhanari, Medical Director and Head of Department of Medical and Surgical Gastroenterology, Dr.Srinivasan Ramachandran, senior consultant, Department of Medical and Surgical Gastroenterology, Dr.Mohan, senior consultant, were among those who spoke to reporters at the press meet here in Madurai on April 19th 2025 to caution about the rise of fatty liver and the lifestyle modifications needed to combat liver diseases by going for early diagnosis liver tests.

“Food is medicine for liver health and nutritious diet is important. Unhealthy lifestyle should be avoided to protect the liver. The Meenakshi Super Speciality Hospital in Madurai had successfully performed 55 deceased donor liver transplants for end-stage liver disease patients.
