CHENNAI: India’s legendary cricketer and top wicket-taking bowler Mr.Ravichandran Ashwin was presented with ‘Legend of International Cricket Award’ by Rotary International District 3234 at its annual district conference ‘Sanghamitra’ held in Chennai on March 2nd 2025 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to cricket and standing as pride of India.
The citation presented to him at the award presentation function had mentioned how cricketer R.Ashwin would spin a web around the batsman with his spin bowling skills and his haul of over 500 wickets at international level etc.
“It was a Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Ravichandran Ashwin for his achievements in different forms of cricket. Film producer AVM Balasubramaniam had presented the award to R.Ashwin in the presence of Rotary District Governor N.S.Saravanan and District Conference Chairman Ravi Sundaresan at the Rotary International District 3234 in Chennai recently,” according to a Rotary press release received today.
