MADURAI: A special initiative called ‘BoT Champs’ was launched from Madurai yesterday by the Best of Tamil Nadu arm of Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry here to promote tourism through schools and colleges in the State.
The first BoT Champs tourism club was inaugurated on January 28th 2025 at Mahatma Global School near Karuppayurani in Madurai with an objective to uplift local economy and enriching cultural unity through tourism promotion from educational institutions.
Ms.G S Anitha IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Madurai North and Mr.S.Manikandan, RJ-Hello FM, were among those who took part in the ‘BOT Champs’ launching event held at Mahatma Global School campus in Madurai saying that every journey tells a cultural tale and tourism gets redefined in Tamil Nadu through this special drive.
Best of Tamil Nadu chairman Mr.J.Vijay Darshan, Mahatma School chairman Mr.Karthik and BoT vice-chairman Ms.P.Hamsa Priya were among those who had stressed that the tourism club program will create cultural awareness, geographic knowledge, global perspectives, young ambassadors and responsible citizens for tourism network empowerment in Tamil Nadu, according to a press release received from BOT here yesterday.
