MADURAI: The Southern Railway is operating unreserved special trains to clear extra rush of passengers during Pongal festival.
Train number 06164 Madurai-Chennai Egmore one way MEMU unreserved express special train with eight coaches will leave Madurai at 7.15 pm on January 15th 2025 and reach Chennai Egmore at 3.20 am the next day.
Train number 06062 Madurai-Chennai Egmore unreserved MEMU express special train will leave Madurai at 4 pm on January 19th 2025 and reach Chennai Egmore at 00.45 hrs the next day. There is also Tuticorin-Tambaram one-way super fast special train on January 19th 2025 with departure at 4.25 pm in Tuticorin and reaching Chennai Tambaram at 3.45 am the next day, according to a press release received from the Madurai Division of Southern Railway here today.
