MADURAI: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is operating Maha Kumbh special Bharat Gaurav Train from Tirunelveli to Varanasi-Prayagraj-Ayodhya and back from February 5th to February 13th 2025.
Itinerary and train chart of this IRCTC special package tour was released and details were received here today through a press release from the Madurai Division of Southern Railway.
“IRCTC/South Zone has launched tourist train to cover Varanasi, Prayagraj (Kumbh) and Ayodhya. It consists of one two-tier AC coach, 03 three-tier AC coaches, seven sleeper coaches, one pantry car and two power cars with a total of 14 coaches. The origin point is Tirunelveli on February 5th 2025 and this tour concludes on February 13th 2025. The package cost per person is Rs.26,850 for economy class and Rs.38,470 for standard and Rs.47,900 for comfort.
At Tirunelveli, the departure time is 1 am on February 5th, comes to Madurai at 5.50 am and departs at 6 am. The boarding points include Tenkasi, Rajapalayam, Sivakasi, Virudhunagar, Madurai Junction, Dindigul, Tiruchi, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Chengalpattu, Tambaram and Chennai Egmore.
The salient features of this exclusive tourist train includes accommodation, road transfers, on board and off board south Indian vegetarian all meals, security on train, breakfast and lunch, two litres water bottle per day and travel insurance.
