MADURAI: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president and mass actor Vijay has today written a open letter to women in Tamil Nadu assuring them he will be there with them as a brother who will work to ensure a safe and secure environment for them all over the State.
“I will stand with you and be with you all in your tough situations and challenging times prevailing right now in Tamil Nadu. Don’t worry about anything and you just focus on your studies. We will join together to create a safe Tamil Nadu for all women,” the TVK president Mr.Vijay has said in the letter penned today- December 30th 2024, giving a message of solidarity to women and girl students.
His letter assumes significance in the wake of the disturbing incident that took place in Anna University in Chennai recently and raised questions about the safety of girl students there.
“Starting from education campuses, everyday the women and my sisters in Tamil Nadu are facing social crimes because of deteriorating law and order. Women are facing sexual harassment and other problems. As your elder brother, I am deeply pained and anguished with the harassment what you are experiencing presently in Tamil Nadu. Where should we ask for your safety? Don’t worry….we will create a safe and secure Tamil Nadu soon and we will work together to achieve that,” Mr.Vijay has said in his letter to women and girl students today.
