MADURAI: Rich tributes were paid to great freedom fighter, Tamil poet and social reformer ‘Mahakavi’ Subramaniya Bharati at Sethupathi Higher Secondary School in Madurai today- December 11th 2024- to mark his 143rd year birth anniversary and this place has a special significance because Bharathiyar worked here as a teacher for a few months.
People from various streams paid floral tributes to Bharathiar here today led by High Court Judge Justice Victoria Gowri in the presence of school correspondent of Setupati Higher Secondary School in Madurai advocate Mr.Parthasarathy, school HM Mr.Narayanan, Madura College board committee governing council member L.Amudhan and entrepreneur Mr.Krishnan and founder of ‘Atchaya Pathiram’ Trust Mr.Nellai Balu who is providing free food to orphans, roadside dwellers and elderly persons, according to a press release in Madurai today.
