MADURAI: Corruption allegations and kickbacks in government are generally heard and read about in the media from political leaders by the common public. But, some information is slowly coming out that a few top private organizations are also required to go for a comprehensive corruption check by their own staff and that the public must question.
Sources told ‘Lotus Times’ media website in Madurai today- on December 2nd 2024- that a reputed brand hospital in Tamil Nadu and in Madurai city which is a top hospital with branches is now a question mark of internal kickbacks that took place in Madurai within the hospital because the “top manages” the patients for consultant doctors in their hospital and they decide on which consultant gets how many patients.
“The top persons were in this particular private hospital in Madurai near Anna Nagar, KK Nagar and close to the Mattuthavani bus stand is a very very popular hospital in our State, they have demanded DIAMOND PENDANT and gifts from senior consultant doctors because only then patients will be sent to these consultant doctors. The doctors are also under pressure because they want to be in a branded hospital. The hospital consultants must give gifts to the said deciding authority…or else the patients numbers going to them will be changed…If anything wrong happens to the patient, the doctor’s name will be badly blown out of proportion by that hospital top management here. So, consultant doctors are worried but the senior consultant doctor from whom a diamond pendant/ ring was asked had refused to do such sort of things of things..This happened a few years back. But the position of consultant doctors is even now a question mark if we take this particular branded hospital in Madurai city is an example,” sources told ‘Lotus Times’ media in Madurai on December 2nd 2024.
Doctors try to be in the good books of that particular management team in Madurai city or else the chief in question may suppress or exaggerate about any doctor and it will affect their future, sources said in Madurai today.
