MADURAI: The impressive job placement numbers of its students this year also had put the Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE) in Madurai in a different orbit in campus placements as two of its students got placed in Amazon with an annual salary package of Rs.45 lakhs and that stood as a special highlight at the Graduation Day of TCE held in Madurai today.
K.N.Mithun and Rajmadhan R of the IT Department of TCE were selected by Amazon for job placement with an offer of Rs.45 lakhs salary package while the college also had good numbers in overall campus recruitment, and the two Amazon selected students were specially mentioned by TCE Chairman and Correspondent Mr.K.Hari Thiagarajan in his presidential address at today’s graduation day ceremony where degrees were presented to graduates of 2023 batch.
“Mithun and Raj Madhan are proud alumni of this college. These two students got highest package in job placements this year and they got Rs.45 lakhs salary package from Amazon,” the TCE chairman and correspondent has said and specially acknowledged them at today’s graduation day for which the chief guest was Dr.G.Aghila, Director, NIT-Trichy.
The TCE Principal Dr.L.Ashok Kumar also highlighted the latest placement numbers of this year from the college campus in his welcome address.
“Today, 1046 graduates are receiving their degrees from both UG (908) and PG (138) of 2023 batch. Among them, 591 students graduated with 1st class with distinction abd 405 graduates in first class. Totally 114 companies visited TCE campus in Madurai for recruitment purpose and 766 students got placed with higher package of Rs.45 lakhs and average salary package of close to Rs.8 lakhs. Also, students got good internships with stipend during their studies,” TCE Principal Dr.L.Ashok Kumar had informed at today’s Graduation Day of TCE which is doing education service with excellence for the past 67 years from Madurai.
Dr.G.Aghila, Director of NIT-Tiruchirapalli, who is an alumni of TCE passed out in the year 1988 had pointed in her graduation day address out that TCE has a rich legacy of excellence and that she is a proud alumnus of this illustrious college in Madurai which is well known for its industry collaborations, industry required curriculum and student internships for practical training to the engineering students.
