CHENNAI: The Rotary International District 3233 had organized ‘Naturopathy Day Celebration’ in a massive manner for public awareness at Rajarathinam Stadium in Egmore in Chennai on November 24th 2024 in association with Government Yoga & Naturopathy Medical College and Hospital.
This event in Chennai by the Rotary club members led to Nova World Record and Universal Achievers Book of Record for mass plantain leaf bath, mud pack and Rotary Wheel formation, according to a press release received from Rotary District 3233’s Public Image Committee from Chennai yesterday.
Mr.M.Appavu. Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker, was the chief guest and the guest of honour was Rtn.S.Mahaveer Bothra, Rotary District Governor, Rotary International District 3233.
“The objective of Naturopathy Day which was first declared by the Ministry of AYUSH in the year 2018 by Government of India is to reaffirm our commitment to empowering people through health. Naturopathy methids have great health impact. Fro our Rotary movement, we are going to create more awareness among younger generations to eat healthy food, on time, take care of their sleep, early morning walking and physical activities to stay healthy throughout the life. A better healthy life is our aim,” Rtn.Mahaveer Bothra, Rotary District Governor, RI District 3233, has said in his message.
Dr.N.Manavalan, Principal, Government Yoga and Naturopathy Medical College and Hospital, Chennai, ws present with over 400 naturopathy doctors and they provided free consultation to over 3,000 people who attended the event, the press release said. Among those who steered this event in Chennai include Rtn.S.Annamalay, event chair and Rtn.PDG.Muthupalaniappan, district learning facilitator.
An awareness rally by Rotary members and students was taken out to create naturopathy health benefits and in this event NOVA world record and universal achievers book of records was marked for ‘Mass Plantain Leaf Bath’ and people there formed Rotary wheel wearing yellow colour T-shirts and English letter ‘N’ formation in green depicting naturopathy, according to a press release from the Rotary District 3233, has said.
