Divisional Railway Manager caught by CBI for Rs.25 lakhs bribe from a railway contractor at Mumbai hotel; Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh is in focus now

MADURAI: The Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Waltair Division at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh Mr.Saurabh Prasad has been caught by the CBI at a Mumbai hotel at around 9 pm in Mumbai yesterday- November 16th 2024 for taking bribe.

He was caught red-handed by the Central Bureau of Investigation team for Rs.25 lakhs bribe from a contractor after he went on two-days leave to Mumbai from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh where he is the DRM right now at Vizag in AP, very reliable sources confirmed to ‘Lotus Times’ media today afternoon.

The CBI had received information about his Rs.25 lakhs bribe demand and the investigation agency was informed by the railway contractor himself, sources added. At around 9 pm in Mumbai hotel last night, he was caught and further investigation is going on right now.

The full details about the allegations and this case will be released by the CBI on Monday morning… tomorrow….and the Visakhapatnam Division DRM Mr.Saurabh Prasad is a 1991 batch mechanical engineering railway officer and he came to Vizag as DRM one year back, according to sources.
