MADURAI: Lady Doak College in Madurai had won the overall championship in the Madurai Kamaraj University inter-collegiate women Judo competition 2024-25 which took place at GTN College in Dindigul on November 14th 2024.
The women judo competition was held for various weight categories and the full details of winners are: In 48 kg category the first place went to N.B.Harshini of Meenakshi College, 2nd place to J.Gnana Jlacki of Fatima College and 3rd place to R.Divya Sri of Madurai Gandhi N.M.R.S.College in Madurai and R.Renuga Devi of APA College, Palani.
In 52 kg category, the first place was won by Pavithra of GTN College while 2nd place was bagged by R.Arhageshwari of Fatima College and third place to C.Shamila of Meenakshi College. For 57 kg category, the first place went to M.Suruthikalakshimi of Lady Doak College, 2nd place to B.Chellamani of American College and 3rd place by A.Annalakshimi of Krishnssamy Arts College.
In the 63 kg category, the first place was bagged by V.Guna of Lady Doak College, second place by ShanmugaPriya of American College while the 3rd place went to K.Karuljothi of Sri Krishnssamy Arts and Science College in Sattur and B.Arockia Keethi of Fatima College.
In 78 kg category, the first place was won by S.Neha of PMT College, second place to P.Aarthi of American College and 3rd place to M.Muniswari of GTN College. In the 78+kg category, the 1st place was bagged by S.Harini of GTN College, second place went to K.Praveena of Lady Doak College while the trhird place was won by P.Grace Rachel of Subalakshimi College, according to a press release received in Madurai today- on November 16th 2024- from the Lady Doak College here.
