
MADURAI: Appointment letters were distributed to more than 51,000 candidates in the country at 40 locations who got selected for government jobs in various departments of Government of India at the ‘Rozgar Mela’ conducted across the country today- October 29th 2024.
Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi had addressed the youngsters and their parents through video conferencing mode today morning and expressed his happiness that thousands of youth are getting their jobs and appointment letters during this Deepavali festival time.
In Madurai, the Department of Posts which is the nodal department for this Rozgar Mela had organized the mela here today and job appointment letters were handed over to the candidates by Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Steel Mr.Bhupathi Raju Srinivasa Varma who in his very brief speech has said that ‘Rozgar Mela’ is a commitment by the Modi government to accord highest priority for employment generation.
In Madurai today, the information was given that totally 137 candidates got selected for the government jobs and appointment letters given to them- with a breakup of 120 for Department of Posts, 9 for NIT Puducherry, 7 for Railways and one candidate for Food Corp[oration of India (FCI).
51,000 CANDIDATES AT 40 LOCATIONS:
The Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi had informed that giving permanent job for the youth is a top priority and it is the primary focus of NDA government and he said that Diwali 2024 will be a special crackers festival for the candidates who got their job orders across the country today.
“In Haryana, a large number of youth got jobs through our Rozgar Mela….It is our commitment to the youth all over India…New job opportunities are created in expressways, highways, roads, railways, ports, logistics, airports, fiber line network, mobile towers, gas pipelines, water pipelines etc through the projects of Government of India in a big way. Huge potential is coming up for MSMEs and a new jobs ecosystem is being developed because of our government’s thrust to small industry, solar panels, aircraft spare parts, rooftop solar mission and for rural employment besides the most important Skill India Mission,” the Prime Minister has said while addressing the 40 locations through video-conferencing today-October 29th 2024.
Mr.V.S.Jaisankar, Post Master General (PMG)-Madurai, had welcomed the gathering and said that it is a happy occasion for the Department of Posts to be the nodal department at a time when thousands of youth in the country are getting their jobs and appointment letters.
