MADURAI: Popular advocate in Madurai Mr.S.Vanchinathan had lodged a police complaint seeking action against Isha Foundation for the alleged sexual assault and rape committed at Isha Yoga Home School in Coimbatore.
He gave a formal police complaint at Anna Nagar police station in Madurai city on October 19th 2024 seeking immediate action against Isha Yoga Centre based on a news item that appeared in a newspaper revealing that there was a sexual assault and rape that took place at Isha Yoga Home School in Coimbatore.
“The statement of two mothers constitute a prima facie case against Isha Yoga Foundation under sections 4,7, 8 and 21 of POCSO Act, 2012. If cognizable offence is made out, the station officer should register a case immediately and the same was mandated by Lalitha Kumari judgement of the apex court. Today, the Anna Nagar police replied that they will go through my petition and complaint fully and take necessary action as per law,” advocate Mr.Vanchinathan told reporters outside the Anna Nagar police station here on October 19th 2024.
