MADURAI: Meenakshi Super Speciality Hospital in Madurai is conducting a three-day advanced neuro-intervention conclave from October 18th to 20th 2024 to equip young neurosurgeons and postgraduate neurosurgery students on neurointerventional techniques in the treatment of vascular conditions affecting brain and spine etc such as neuro aneurysm, stroke etc.
This neuro conclave will take place at the hospital’s Biplane Cath Lab here in the city and which is an important treatment facility for diagnosing and treating neuro-vascular conditions. There will be six live surgery cases, expert talks and hands-on training to neurosurgeons from this conclave which will be very useful for neurologists and radiologists.
A press conference was held at Meenakshi Super Speciality Hospital in Madurai today which was addressed by senior consultant and Head of Department of Neurosurgery Dr.Selva Muthu Kumaran along with Dr.T.Mukuntharajan, HoD of Department of Interventional Radiology, Dr.Gowtham Kuncha. consultant neurovascular surgeon and Dr.K.Senthil Kumar, senior consultant neurosurgeon.
“Latest neurointervention procedures will be demonstrated in this three-day workshop. The advancements in neurosurgery will be demonstrated live and procedures in treating brain and spine etc will be explained here. This workshop is a significant step in advancing neurovascular care in our region, for treating brain aneurysms, stenting etc. Brian cases must be handled carefully and we will show six live cases from this workshop,” the neuro experts of Meenakshi Super Speciality Hospital in Madurai told reporters at the press meet here on October 17th 2024.
