MADURAI: K.Samidurai, State president of Indian Association of Lawyers, who is a leading lawyer well-known for his social work, was presented with ‘Social Impact Award’ by the NGO Help Foundation (NHF) at a function held in Madurai on October 6th 2024.
This award was presented to him at NGO-CSR Summit 2024 held here with the theme ‘Synergising CSR-Empowering Communities as NHF puts its focus on empowering India through innovation, inclusivity and impact.
Justice Krishnan Ramasamy of Madras High Court had presented the NGO-CSR Leadership Awards awards to various individuals in recognition of their work and contributions to the society and one of the award recipients in this summit was advocate Mr.K.Samidurai.
The list of awardees include- Life Time Achievement Award to Dr.K.V.Kuppusamy, Chairman, RVS Group of Institutions-Coimbatore, Education and Sustainability Leadership Awards to Dr.R.Subashini, Dean, Madras School of Social Work, Dr.E.K.T.Sivakumar, Founder, Educational and Social Research Organisation-Chennai and D.V.Dharmasingh, Secretary, Madurai Institute of Social Sciences while NGO Leadership Award was presented to Ms.Deepa Muthaiya, Chairman, DEAN Foundation-Chennai and Ms.Lalitha Govinda Rajulu, secretary, Kasthuriba Nikethan in Erode.
CSR LEADERSHIP AND SOCIAL IMPACT AWARDS:
The NGO Help Foundation had chosen three distinguished persons for CSR Leadership Award and they are Dr.C.Ramasubramanian, Founder, M.S.Chellamuthu Trust-Madurai, Mr.P.Prabakar Ignatius, Deputy Manager, HCL Tech-Madurai and Mr.P.Sundarraj, Head, Department of Resource and Development, Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre in Madurai.
Two persons who were chosen for the Social Impact Award were advocate K.Samidurai who is the State president of Indian Association of Lawyers and Mr.K.S.P.Janardhan Babu, Director (Programme), M.S.Chellamuthu Trust, Madurai.
The organisers of this summit have informed that NGO-CSR Awards have been instituted to recognise innovative CSR practices in India and this year’s is the third edition of the awards to honour CSR, sustainability, social enterprise projects and thought leadership in CSR.
Among those who addressed the sessions at NHF NGO CSR Summit 2024 in Madurai on October 6th include Mr.Biju George, CEO, NGO Help Foundation and Mr.D.Venkhataram, Executive Vice President, CSR Vertical NHF.
