‘Constitution Museum’ to be dedicated to nation on November 26th at O.P.Jindal Global University

CHENNAI: The O.P.Jindal Global University at Sonipat near Delhi has established Constitution Museum in the varsity campus to help people understand, realize and appreciate the extraordinary journey in the making of great Indian Constitution.

This Constitution Museum will be dedicated to the nation on November 26th 2024 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the adoption of Constitution of India.

Jindal Global University (JGU) Vice-Chancellor C.Raj Kumar has explained the objectives of setting up the museum and how it shapes the future of India. “We want to advance the ideas of civic education, wherein everybody in India needs to recognize that Constitution is not only our founding document, it is our connect to the past, the present and the future,” he said in a message released very recently.

Further explaining, the JGU Vice-Chancellor said that the Indian Constitution which was adopted on November 26th 1949 outlines the fundamental laws of the country, reflecting the values, principles and governance framework.

“There is no better place than a university for establishing Constitution Museum, so that it helps not only the students of JGU, but also host generations of young people from schools, colleges and other institutions to embrace the ideals and aspirations of the Constitution,” Prof.C.Raj Kumar said and added that one of the primary objectives behind setting up the Constitution Museum is to pay tribute to the framers of the Constitution of India and contribute to the legacy of the Constitution as an institution.

The effort to establish Constitution Museum in O.P.Jindal Global University campus goes with the vision of varsity Chancellor Mr.Naveen Jindal and it is quite appropriate that it has been created in a university where the young people of India and the world reside, the Vice-Chancellor observed.
