MADURAI: Tamil Nadu BJP spokesperson Mr.A.N.S.Prasad has today demanded a full CBI probe and judicial inquiry into the Tirumala laddu adulteration issue because it has hurt the sentiments of Hindus worldwide.
In a press statement issued from Chennai on September 23rd 2024, he said that the shocking revelation of alleged use of animal fat for the preparation of sacred Tirupati laddu has sparked anger and outrage among crores of devotees of Lord Venkateswara.
“To restore trust and bring out the truth, the Andhra Pradesh State government must take swift action, consider a judicial inquiry and entrust the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to do a through probe. Former TTD priest Ramana Dikshithulu claims that he noticed adulteration in the cow ghee used to prepare Tirupati laddu prasadam…..Already, the Union Health Minister J.P.Nadda had sought a detailed report from the AP government about this animal fat matter, lb test results etc. There is a widespread distress among devotees and they want spiritual integrity. To protect the sanctity of Tirumala temple and TTD, there must be a thorough CBI investigation and judicial inquiry,” Tamil Nadu BJP spokesperson Mr.A.N.S.Prasad has appealed in his press statement today.
He also pointed out that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Mr.N.Chandrababu Naidu has vowed to uphold the religious sanctity of the world famous Tirumala temple and already announced plans to cleanse all temples in the State following the ghee adulteration allegations and results given by laboratory after ghee tests.
