MADURAI: Mental health counselling expert Dr.D.Janet Vasanthakumari had stressed the importance of premarital counselling and how it helps youngsters for their happy marriage.
“Premarital counselling is a type of therapy that helps youngsters to prepare for their marriage. Marital counselling can help in a very positive way and ensure that you and your life partner will have a strong healthy relationship and better life experiences after marriage and a good married life,” she said.
Dr.D.Janet Vasantha Kumari, Director (Counselling), M.S.Chellamuthu Trust and Research Foundation, was invited as a resource person to speak at ‘Happy Life…Happy Move’ program which was organized by the Post Graduate and Research Department of Economics at American College in Madurai on September 12th 2024.
“Premarital assessment is not to predict relationship success but it is to be used as a guide for how and what to do for strengthening the relationship, and the work to be done,” she observed while citing live examples about premarital counselling to the students.
Dr.C.Muthuraja, Head of the PG Department of Economics and Mr.Sudharshan Vignesh, coordinator of M.S.Chellamuthu Trust and Research Foundation, addressed the students about happy life lessons, according to a press release.
K.S.Suga Jeevitha-Amrita Stores, Dr.M.Sheela, president, PG Economics association and Ms.Sarna were among those present in this special training program.
