MADURAI: A free technical training course in emerging technologies in IT & ITES sector was launched in Madurai today- on September 12th 2024- as a skilling program for passed out graduates from colleges and youth who are seeking employment.
The Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (Tamil Nadu) is conducting this free technical training courses on emerging technologies in association with SkillsDA, which is a centre for advanced training in Chennai to provide training courses in emerging technologies such as cyber security, certified data protection officer, business process management and banking financial services and insurance. It is a free technical program offered for the first time in Madurai and cyber security will be an integral part of the three courses- CDPA, BPM and BFSI, according to a press release here today.
This training program is a joint effort of CED (Tamil Nadu) and MADITSSIA in association with SkillsDA-Centre for Advanced Training-Chennai and NASSCOM Foundation, and this program was launched in Madurai today by Tamil Nadu Minister for IT and Digital Services Dr.P.T.R.Palanivel Thiagarajan in the presence of CED (Tamil Nadu) Managing Trustee Dr.R.Jayaraman and MADITSSIA president Mr.Rm.Lakshminarayanan along with SkillsDA Founder Director and Chief Vision Officer Mr.Kottaram Ramesh and NASSCOM Foundation senior manager Ms.M.Geetha.
“This is a free of cost training program which is being supported by NASSCOM companies members. There will be 180 hours free training of which 120 hours will be for domain subjects like cyber security etc and the remaining 60 hours for giving soft skills-communication ability etc to the youth. This is a completely skill program for graduates and unemployed youth. More focus is for women students and women candidates. Women empowerment is a priority and being implemented through CED (Tamil Nadu) in Madurai,” Mr.Kottaram Ramesh, Founder Director and Chief Vision Officer, SkillsDA-Centre for Advanced Training-Chennai, told ‘Lotus Times’ media at the launch event held in MADITSSIA Hall in Madurai on September 12th 2024.
The CED (Tamil Nadu) is located at Flower Market Complex in Mattuthavani in Madurai from where several training courses are being conducted on behalf of the Central government, State government and through various skill development agencies.
