Usilampatti good news: ‘Son of the Soil’ senior IRS Officer steps in for development through CED (Tamil Nadu) from Madurai

MADURAI: The people of Usilampatti block and its surrounding areas in Madurai district are having a good news now.

Its own son of the soil Mr.Arun C.Bharath who is a senior IRS officer and Principal Commissioner of Income Tax-Pune, has today on August 23rd 2024 committed himself for the overall progress of people of Usilampatti area, from where he hails.

“I am committed to the development of my place Usilampatti. We had a meeting with several people on what Usilampatti needs, and what the people there wants. Thanks to the CED (Tamil Nadu) from Madurai, we released a booklet on Usilmapatti issues in March 2024 just at the time of Lok Sabha elections by following all the rules. The role of local women, local people, public interest groups, MLAs, former public representatives at MLA and MP level becomes important for Usilampatti’s development. I am very happy with the role being played by CED (Tamil Nadu) through various events being organised by Usilampatti Development Centre, and there are many events planned from August 2024 to March 2025,” Mr.Arun C.Bharat, IRS officer, has said.

He was speaking at the certificate distribution function for Sewing Machine Operator skill development and women empowering training given for a period of about three months under the various Central government programs and support from State government for skill development.

Dr.R.Jayaraman, Managing Trustee-CED(Tamil Nadu), Dr.V.Mohanram, programme officer, Mr.A.Arivalagan from Usilampatti Lions clubs, Mr.Premkumar from Usilampatti Lions club and Ms.P.Bhagavathi Rani who is the programme coordinator for SMO Trade Skill Training for Women under DDU–GKY & TNSDC, were among those who stressed on the need for women empowerment, skilled workforce, free training and how sewing machines training through CED (Tamil Nadu) will help the families in Madurai district and surrounding areas.

The Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (Tamil Nadu) office is at paddy and flower market complex in Maattuthavani in Madurai, from where many central and State government schemes are being implemented through training activities.
