MADURAI: A meeting of the Sivakasi Railway Station Consultative Meeting took place at Sivakasi railway station office on August 6th 2024 where the passenger issues were discussed and complaints were submitted to the railway authorities.
The representation given to railway officials of Madurai Division of Southern Railway had pointed out that there should be an immediate monitoring and checking of cycle stand wala contractors at Sivakasi railway station in Tamil Nadu because “the cycle stand contractors are collecting from the public a huge money and excess amount because they are calculating Rs.30 per day on 12-hours basis and this since this is too much being collected from the public, necessary action must be taken to collect the amount for parking on 24-hours basis. The collection amount for railway parking should be on 24 hours basis only.”.
The public representation from Sivakasi was submitted by Sivakasi Railway Consultative Committee Member Mr.S.Jayakodi (alias) Balasubramanian to the railway officials at Sivakasi on August 6th 2024 along with other members by appealing to the Divisional Railway Manager of Madurai Railway Division, senior divisional operations manager and the senior divisional commercial manager to take immediate action because it was a representation and requirement for Sivakasi railway station, as a representation received from the general public of Sivakasi.
