MADURAI: An exclusive ladies waiting hall for the convenience of women passengers is now functional on first platform near IRCTC executive lounge in second entry at eastern side of Madurai Railway Junction here.
The women waiting hall was earlier functioning near the main entry eastern side of the Madurai railway station where currently station redevelopment work is in progress, a press release from Southern Railway Madurai Division has informed yesterday.
This ladies waiting hall is provided with chairs, sufficient lighting, fans, mobile charging points, rest rooms (both Indian and western style), rest room facility for physically challenged, a bathroom and cubicle for breast feeding, the railway press release on July 16th 2024 has said.
