MADURAI: First year undergraduate students of Lady Doak College in Madurai had an orientation session in the college campus on July 10th 2024 as a Part-V extension programme that gave detailed exposure to various extension programs such as NSS-NCC Army, Air and Navy wings) and other major programs with their related activities.
“Say Yes to Life, No to Drugs’ was one of the important messages sent out to the first year UG students as a part of collective efforts for drug free world and to prevent drugs abuse.
Dr.Beulah Jeyashree, Principal and Secretary, Lady Doak College, along with administrators and coordination team including Dr.Sujatha K and Mrs.Lakshmi M, had guided the students at this important orientation program where a pledge against drugs was administered to students by highlighting the ill effects of drugs, drug abuse and a pledge to no to fall into the habit of drugs, and rescuing the drug abusers to give up drugs and to eradicate them from Tamil Nadu.
Dr.Nachiyar, Librarian and PRO of Lady Doak College, had explained the importance of book reading its impact in a person’s life.
