MADURAI: The famous trade body of Madurai- MADITSSIA (Madurai District Tiny & Small Scale Industries Association)- is conducting AYUSH 2024 exhibition of traditional and herbal medicine systems from June 21st to 23rd 2024 at MADITSSIA Hall in Madurai.
This expo is being supported by the Ministry of AYUSH, Central Council for Research in Siddha, National Institute of Siddha, National Medicinal Plants Board etc which will have 75 stalls of Indian medicine manufacturers, AYUSH seminars on health and wellness, medicinal plants exhibition and free medical camps.
A press meet was conducted by MADITSSIA in Madurai today- on June 18th 2024- where it was informed to reporters that more than 300 rare medicinal plants are being displayed in a separate stall by The Siddha Medicinal Plants Garden-Mettur, Central Council for Research in Siddha.
“Leading AYUSH manufacturers are participating in this exhibition which starts on June 21st 2024 at MADITSSIA Hall in Madurai to commemorate World Yoga Day,” Mr.Rm.Lakshminarayanan, MADITSSIA president, told reporters at today’s press meet along with AYUSH 2024 expo chairman Mr.K.Rajamurugan and vice-chairman Dr.J.Jeya Venkatesh.
The scope of AYUSH system of medicine, industrial opportunities and susbsidies that are available for traditional and herbal medicine will be explained in lectures being organised in this expo.
Sale of Siddha and Ayurvedic herbal plants is also planned while the organizers took steps to have seminars in association with National Medicinal Plants Board-New Delhi in cultivation of the famous ‘ASHWAGANDHA’ in which doctors and scientists will take part.
The opportunities available for MSMEs in AYUSH sector will be highlighted in this expo where the procedures for getting licensing etc will be elaborated by experts, and this exhibition is entry free for the public.
