15 hospitals in Tamil Nadu receive quality awards for excellence in healthcare services

Inauguration of AHPI-TN Chapter conference in Madurai on June 15th 2024.

MADURAI: The State-level conference of Association of Healthcare Providers India (AHPI), Tamil Nadu Chapter, took place in Madurai today- on June 15th 2024, with an important theme ‘Sustainability and Growth in Healthcare’.

Top professionals from health sector, doctors, administrators and consultants from 200 hospitals across Tamil Nadu had participated in this conference in Madurai today where the importance of embracing smart healthcare systems by hospitals was stressed, according to a press release received from the association.

Dr.Girdhar Gyani, Director General of AHPI, Dr.Alexander Thomas, Founder-President and patron of AHPI, Dr.Sathish Devadoss, president of AHPI-TN and Vice-Chairman of Devadoss Multi Speciality Hospital in Madurai, Mr.D.Rambabu, secretary of AHPI-TN and Chairman of Sabarmathi Health Retreat, Mrs.Gayathri Sandeep, AHPI-TN treasurer and CEO of Seethapathy Clinic and Hospitals Pvt Ltd, were among those present at the inaugural function along with Dr.Raju Sivasamy from SIMS Hospital, Mr.Adel J, organizing secretary of the conference AHPICON 2024 and other office-bearers.

The hospitals that won AHPICON 2024 awards under various categories include SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre in Trichy, Preethi Hospitals in Madurai, Kauvery Heartcity Hospital-Trichy, Aravind Eye Hospital at Theni, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Medical College and Hospital in Perambalur, Meenakshi Hospital at Thanjavur, Bhaarath Medical College and Hospital-Chennai, Apollo Speciality Hospitals in Vanagaram in Chennai, Sree Renga Hospital at Chengalpattu, Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai, Medway Hospitals-Chennai, Dr.Jeyasekharan Hospital and Nursing Home-Nagercoil, Manipal Hospitals at Salem, Sankara Eye Hospital-Coimbatore and Ortho-One Orthopedic Speciality Centre in Coimbatore, according to the press release received from APHI Tamil Nadu Chapter from its Madurai conference on June 15th 2024.

LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD:

The Life Time Achievement Award of AHPICON 2024 went to renowned surgeon Prof.Mohammed Rela, founder of Rela Hospital in Chennai who had performed over 6,000 liver transplantations.

In this Madurai conference today, the requirements of health sector and private hospitals for improving the healthcare services were discussed and the challenges faced by hospitals were deliberated to evolve a road map for overcoming the challenges and ensure universal health coverage as envisaged by the Government.
