MADURAI: What was once a party that dictated Delhi in the 80s and 90s has now become a question mark in Indian politics unfortunately today.
The AIADMK’s future is currently being debated seriously after its latest complete rout in Lok Sabha elections 2024 and whether this once great regional party of MGR and Ms.Jayalalithaa can give even a minimal fight in the next Assembly elections, and what is going to happen to the ‘Two Leaves’.
In this tough situation being faced by the AIADMK right now in Tamil Nadu after the 2024 Parliament elections results where it is zero, a few good positive suggestions are coming to the AIADMK to try out and follow the now famous Pawan Kalyan Model in Andhra Pradesh where TDP-Jana Sena-BJP combination had given stellar election results in the elections and made Mr.Nara Chandra Babu Naidu as AP Chief Minister for the 4th time.
WHY CHANDRABABU-PAWAN KALYAN MODEL IS RIGHT?
A few months ago, till February 2024 at a time when election campaign was picking up, there was a very difficult situation for the Telugu Desan Party (TDP) and its chief Mr.Chandrababu Naidu as Mr.Naidu was put in Rajahmundry jail by Jagan government. It was actor Pawan Kalyan who took the complete efforts to bring the TDP and BJP together and the rest is history.
But, quickly Mr.Pawan Kalyan entered and announced alliance with TDP after meeting Chandrababu Naidu in prison. He stood by that stand for last four months, and people of Andhra Pradesh gave a huge successful mandate to TDP-Jana Sena-BJP combine.
So, why not a similar model for AIADMK in Tamil Nadu? Vijay is coming to politics, Seeman (NTK) is already there going great as Election Commission recognized party with its good vote share and BJP already improving its performance in some Lok Sabha constituencies in Tamil Nadu.
So, it is in the interest of AIADMK to think twice and forge a strong alliance in Tamil Nadu for the 2026 Assembly elections by following the Chandrababu-Pawan Kalyan Model of Andhra Pradesh, by taking in to account the popularity of actor Vijay, fighter Seeman and others.
That will be the best tribute the AIADMK can pay to great MGR and to ‘Puratchi Thalaivi’ Ms.Jayalalithaa who said openly in the State Assembly that AIADMK will be there for many more years to come. Will Mr.Edappadi Palanisamy and others see and learn from what is happening in neighbouring State Andhra Pradesh?
Remember that if TDP had lost in the latest elections to Assembly, its future would have been in complete doubt and many top political anaylsts had already written off the NTR-founded party two months back and went by Jagan’s popularity.
But, people gave a historic mandate and TDP Mr.Nara Chandrababu Naidu became Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh once again on June 12th 2024 at a great swearing-in event that was attended by Mr.Modi and Amit Shah.
