MADURAI: Dr.G.Natchiyar, one of the founding members of world famous Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai, had received the Padma Shri Award 2024 from the President of India Mrs.Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi on May 9th 2024 at the civil investiture ceremony held in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
After receiving the prestigious Padma Shri’ award in Delhi along with other awardees from across the country, the ‘Madurai Eye-Opener’ who played a significant visionary role for community eyecare, is returning to Madurai tomorrow (on Sunday evening May 12th 2024) and the employees of Aravind Eye Care System are very keen to give a grand reception to her when she comes to the hospital on Monday, according to sources.
