MADURAI: The annual sports meet 2024 of Vaigai College of Engineering at Therkutheru in Madurai took place on May 4th 2024 with the title ‘The Albatross 2024’ where there was a remarkable energy and spirit for success by participating students in the competitions.
Dr.R.Sivaranjani, Principal, had presided over the sports meet while renowned Para Olympic athlete-cum- coach and SDAT Madurai representative ‘Dhyanchand Awardee’ J.Ranjith Kumar was the chief guest. Among the other special invitees were Mr.K.Samidurai, State president of Indian Association of Lawyers-Madurai and Mr. A.K.S.Vishnu, according to a press release received from the college here today.
Students had showed their athletic prowess in track and field events and prices were distributed to the winners. The overall championship trophy was bagged by Red House while the Blue House won the runner-up position, the press release added.
