MADURAI: Velammal College of Engineering and Technology (VCET) in Madurai had celebrated its 12th College Day here today-on April 26th 2024-with a student connect by giving motivation message to students for their career growth.
The celebration theme of VCET (Autonomous) was ‘Odyssey’24 awesomeness awaits’ as the college management had highlighted the achievements of this college like UGC autonomy in the year 2021, NBA New Delhi accreditation for its six undergraduate programmes, NAAC accreditation with ‘A’ Grade, 59 research and development projects worth Rs.12.54 crores supported by national level agencies and as a MSME business incubator etc besides a job placement per centage of 98.18 per cent with 326 students getting placed in top companies with a minimum salary package of Rs.9.5 lakhs per annum.
Dr.Ramesh Unnikrishnan, Advisor II, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)-New Delhi, was the chief guest while Mr.M.P.Lakshman Prakash, General Manager and Global HR Head-Internet of Things (IOT) and Digital Engineering-Tata Consultancy Services-Chennai, was the guest of honour, according to a press release received from the college here today.
Dr.N.Suresh Kumar, Senior Principal and Coordinator, Velammal Education Group (Madurai Zone), Dr.P.Alli, college Principal and Dr.S.Vasuki, Dean (Research and Development), VCET, were among those present at the college day ceremony today along with faculty and students.
