MADURAI: Well-known education activist and save democracy campaigner Mr.P.B.Prince Gajendra Babu has today appealed to the people of Tamil Nadu to elect candidates of I.N.D.I.A.bloc parties in the April 19 Lok Sabha election in order to uphold the Constitutional values of sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic Republic of India.
“If BJP is voted back to power and Modi is elected again as Prime Minister, then democracy is in total danger. We have to protect our great Constitution. Defeating Modi and BJP is the duty of people right now in this election, because people must know that there is a threat before them,” Mr.Prince Gajendra Babu, general secretary, State Platform for Common School System-Tamil Nadu (SPCSS-TN), has said talking to reporters at a press meet in Madurai today-April 15th 2024, where he also released a public appeal statement on the role of people in the general election 2024.
TO SAVE EDUCATION AND PUBLIC SECTOR:
Mr.Prince Gajendra Babu had listed out a few reasons why the people of Tamil Nadu should defeat the BJP and support I.N.D.I.A. bloc candidates of Congress party, communist, DMK, Muslim League and other parties which are in that bloc.
“The April 19th 2024 Lok Sabha election is going to be historically important election to save our democracy, Directive Principles of State Policy, federalism, regional parties and overall to save the Indian Constitution. We have taken a stand and making this appeal after carefully studying the election manifesto of various political parties. The public funded government institutions from school to university are under threat, the NEP 2020 if implemented in its present form will lead to no government funding for higher education institutions and public sector undertakings/ airports/ insurance etc are being totally privatized,” he cautioned.
RESERVATION IS FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE:
Mr.Prince Gajendra Babu had stressed that the BJP did not mention about reservation in public sector while it is steadily handing over government institutions to private players in the name of public-private partnership.
“The PM SHRI shcool system is discriminatory. Please understand that our children will be treated as consumers as education is becoming a commodity. State governments are being threatened and forced to come under PM SHRI school system if they want funding support from the union government. Education is a fundamental right to all citizens and it is being blatantly violated,” the SPCSS-TN general secretary has alleged.
