MADURAI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has prepared a Madurai-focused election manifesto focusing on the demands, requirements and suggestions of the electorate of Madurai as it goes to the polls on April 19th 2024.
“Our BJP party manifesto for Madurai took serious note to expedite the Madurai-Thoothukudi industrial corridor, take up the Madurai Bus Port issue, de-silting of River Vaigai along its full route, and removing encroachments, and make Vaigai full source for drinking water and agriculture farmers’ needs,” Madurai Lok Sabha BJP candidate Prof.Raama.Sreenivasan told reporters at a press meet held in party office in Madurai on April 11th 2024.
Responding to a question from a journalist, the Madurai BJP candidate has said that he and the party will work to get international status for,Madurai airport and “we want to make Maduari airport as international airport like Tiruchi in its full sense”.
The BJP Madurai manifesto also assures protection of small industries and hence MSMEs get importance in order to encourage local business, ensure that there are more beneficiaries of PM Modi government schemes from Madurai region, make Madurai as a clean and green city with the support of Union Ministry of Urban Development, and to construct a ‘mani mandapam’ for N.M.R.Subbaraman who is referred as ‘Madurai Gandhi’.
