MADURAI: A blood donation camp was organized by nine units of NSS of The American College in Madurai in the college campus on March 26th 2024.
Dr.A.Gunasekaran, Joint Director of Collegiate Education-Madurai Region, was the chief guest and he spoke on the importance of blood donation which saves several lives.
Dr.M.Davamani Christober, Principal and Secretary of American College, had presided over this mega life-saving event in which students from all departments participated voluntarily and donated more than 500 units of blood which was later sent to the Government Rajaji Hospital (GRH) Blood Bank here, according to a press release received from the college today.
Dr.A.Martin David, Vice-Principal, Dr.Beaula Ruby Kamalam, college Bursar, Dr.M.Pandi, NSS Coordinator, Madurai Kamaraj University and Dr.A.Selvan, NSS convener, American College, were among those present along with GRH staff, college faculty, NSS programme officers, student leaders and volunteers.
