MADURAI: More than 5,000 aspiring candidates and job-seekers had turned up for the mega job fair conducted at Lakshmi Sundaram Hall in Tallakulam in Madurai today- on February 17th 2024-under the auspices of Young Indians (Yi) Madurai Chapter.
A mega ‘Velai Vaaipu Vizha’ was hosted by the CII’s Young Indians Madurai Chapter and the response was overwhelming both in the number of participants and the number of candidates who got selected for various jobs.
While totally 86 companies from 13 diverse sectors including manufacturing, services, retail, IT, finance, automobiles, health, hotels etc had come to recruit candidates, the final result gave satisfaction to the job fair organizers because 2,154 candidate jot recruited in the spot and more than 30 companies conducting selection process offline, a press release received from Yi has informed today.
“The job fair is a resounding success. Young Indians Madurai expresses its gratitude to all participating companies, candidates and speakers. We want to foster a strong connection between industry and the youth. Yi Madurai’s commitment to empowering the youth increases much more,” the press release from Yi Madurai has said and added that the response for today’s job fair was so huge in numbers that the registration had to be extended to meet the demand.
Ms.Ramya Bharathi, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Kalaimamani Karunaninidhi, educationist and merchant navy officer, Meena Chabbria, vice-president, PVR Cinemas and Sangeetha Abishek, Director, SODME Digital Marketing Pvt Ltd, were among those who addressed the youth and enlightened them with career paths and career perspectives with their motivating words, the press release said,
