MADURAI: Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Mr.Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi had today honoured and thanked three persons for their great gesture and donation to corporation schools and government school in Madurai.
On January 29th 2024, the Minister specially honoured Mrs.Aayi Ammal alias Pooranam who donated her 1.52 acres land to Government school in Othakadai Kodikulam in Madurai recently and he also thanked well known Tamil scholar and ‘Pattimandram’ specialist Mr.Solomon Pappaiah for donating Rs.20 lakhs to Madurai Corporation school for constructing more classrooms.
The School Education Minister was all praise for the great gesture of ‘Vathal’ and Appalam trader T.P.Rajendran who donated Rs.1.8 crores to two schools of Madurai Corporation. The Minister was in Madurai today to attend various programmes of School Education Department and one programme held was ‘Namma School Namma Ooru Palli’ event where he had honoured the three donors.
Among those who were present in this function include School Education Secretary Mr.J.Kumaragurubaran and Madurai District Collector M.S.Sangeetha along with MLAs and Corporation Deputy Mayor Mr.Nagarajan.
