MADURAI: The Vice-Chancellor of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) Prof.Dr.J.Kumar had highlighted the famous book ‘Freedom at Midnight’ in his speech at the 75th Republic Day celebrations in varsity campus here on January 26th 2024.
To emphasise some of the important events and happenings during the time of Independence, the Vice-Chancellor mentioned a few points from the book ‘Freedom at Midnight’ which was written by Dominique Lapierre and Larry Collins, a press release received from the university said.
He also spoke about the various research activities being carried out in MKU, especially the research work in progress for controlling of dengue mosquitoes etc. Among those who were present at the R-Day celebrations today include MKU Registrar in-charge Prof.M.Ramakrishnan, university faculty, administrative officers and students.
