MADURAI: The high stake and ambitious Global Investors Meet 2024 which was conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Government had caused disappointment among important trade bodies, industry associations and the people of southern districts of Tamil Nadu because they had largely felt that Madurai region was ignored in the recent global summit meant to attract industry investments.
A special panel discussion took place in Madurai on January 19th 2024 where the representatives of various important industry bodies had questioned why the Global Investors Meet held in Chennai from January 6th to 8th did not get investments for southern districts and especially Madurai district.

But, the southern districts of Tamil Nadu did not get investment announcements. There was no single announcement from the Chennai global meet. Why?,” the question was raised from panel discussion held at MADITSSIA Hall in Madurai on January 19th 2024.
