MADURAI: A book release event held in Madurai today- on January 2nd 2024- has sent out a message for public understanding that there is no difference between Gandhiji and the RSS because both had worked for the same cause, for same purpose and with same commitment.

Governor of Nagaland Mr.La.Ganesan had released a book ‘Thaatha Thantha Kannadi’ written by Prof.Raama Sreenivasan here today evening where it was stressed that the thoughts and ideology of Mahatma Gandhi are always relevant for all times.

Through this book in Tamil, the author Prof.Sreenivasan had explained in simple language about the cause for which Mahatma Gandhi stood for all through his life and a rereading that is needed for the better understanding of common man.

The Governor of Nagaland Mr.La.Ganesan had released the book and the first copy was received by the chairman of Velammal Group of educational institutions Mr.M.V.Muthuramalingam at a function held in MADITSSIA Hall.

“There is lot of information in this book covering Gandhiji’s views on socialism, secularism and capitalism. Prof.Sreenivasan had touched all important topics and he is the right person to write a book on Gandhiji because his Ph.D was on Gandhian Thought. It is very wrong to say that RSS was behind the killing of Gandhiji because both RSS and Gandhiji had worked for same purpose and cause,” Mr.La.Ganesan has said.

Prof.Raama Sreenivasan said that while RSS was the most misunderstood organization in the country, the most misunderstood person was Mahatma Gandhi. “Without understanding fully what they said, some people blame them and criticize them. It is my strong opinion that there is no difference between the two. I am a Gandhian in RSS and a RSS swayam sevak in Gandhian circle,” he added.

Dr.Pugalagiri Vadamalayan, Chairman and Managing Director of Vadamalayan Hospitals, Mr.V.S.Manimaran, former president of MADITSSIA, Mr.M.S.Sha of Annai Fatima College and renowned mental health expert Dr.C.Ramasubramanian were among those present along with Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce president Dr.N.Jegatheesan, former professor Dr.S.Andiappan and writer Prabhakar.
