MADURAI: The Vice-Chancellor of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) Prof.Dr.J.Kumar has today (on December 27th 2023) said that he is aggressively following up in Chennai to get fund immediately from the State Government for disbursing the salary and pension of November month to all university employees.

“I am in Chennai today for our MKU issue only. I made a courtesy call to meet the Higher Education Minister in-charge Mr.Raja Kannappan in Chennai today. Salary is a burning issue and I am trying to solve the issues as soon as possible. Tomorrow, I am going to follow up once again with our Higher Education Secretary and other officials. I know very well that salary and pension is a worrying thing for our employees, the audit objections issue is being discussed, and please wait for one day. By tomorrow evening, I hope I can tell something,” the MKU Vice-Chancellor Prof.J.Kumar told ‘Lotus Times’ over phone today evening from Chennai – on December 27th 2023.

The MKU staff and pensioners are eagerly waiting for getting the November 2023 month salary because Christmas is already over and New Year 2024 is coming in.
