NABARD to guide farmers in Virudhunagar tomorrow at interface session with agri experts

MADURAI: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) is conducting farmers interface programme at Virudhunagar tomorrow- on December 26th 2023.

This is a very clearly focused capacity building program to educate and empower the farmers on agriculture issues, trends and requirements, Prof.Raama Sreenivasan, Independent Director of-NABARD, who is organizing this programme, told ‘Lotus Times’ news website here today.

Stating that the Virudhunagar interface with farmers is a first of its kind programme, he said that farmers will be guided by NABARD officers and agriculture experts who will create awareness about what should be followed in tune with the times, what are the agri products in demand, best practices, bank loans and NABARD assistance etc.

“Through this NABARD -farmers interface programme at Virudhunagar tomorrow, we will be able to understand the needs of farmers and the farmers should understand what is apt for cultivation so that they can modify their farming methods. We have also invited Lead Bank officials to address the farmers,” Prof.Dr.Raama Sreenivasan said.

The interface with farmers will be held at VVV Hall-Chamber of Commerce, Virudhunagar from 10 am, the organisers informed.
