MADURAI: The O.C.P.M.Girls Higher Secondary School in Madurai had won gold medal and trophy in ball badminton for the ninth consecutive year.
To commemorate ‘Bharathiyar Day’, the Tamil Nadu School Education Department organized 39th State-level ball badminton tournament at Ramakrishna Engineering College in Coimbatore in which school students from 38 districts had participated, a press release from OCPM School Headmistress on 17th November 2023 has informed.
In the quarter finals, OCPM girls from Madurai had defeated Theni district team and in semi-finals they defeated Villupuram district team. The OCPM girls team won against Coimbatore team by 35-22 and 35-27 in the final and won gold medal with trophy for the ninth consecutive year, the press release said.
