MADURAI: A special NSS camp (National Service Scheme) that took place at Maangulam village near Madurai had given a good exposure to the students of Al-Ameen Higher Secondary School, K.Pudur, in Madurai who actively involved themselves in various activities in that village which is situated near Kallandhiri.
During this seven-day special NSS camp, the students carried out cleaning of temple and mosque in Maangulam villlage, road cleaning, planting of saplings, dengue prevention awareness etc among the villagers, according to a press release received from the school here yesterday after the closing day ceremony, held on October 27th 2023.
The closing day function was presided over by Maangulam panchayat president Sathya Mahendran while Al-Ameen Higher Secondary School headmaster Mr.Sheik Nabi had steered the closing ceremony programmes.
Mr.Rahmatullah, Assistant Headmaster, welcomed the participants and villagers. School teachers Tamilkumaran, Mohamed Rabi, Thowbik Raja, Mohamed Malik and Kadhar Muhaideen, had addressed the students during this special NSS camp.
NSS programme officer Mohamed Yusuf had thanked panchayat deputy chairman Adaikalam and panchayat secretary Kowsalya for their help and arrangements for conducting this special NSS camp on behalf of the school in Maangulam village, the press release added.
