MADURAI: A large trade and industry carnival is going to be held in the United States in June 2024 in the name ‘Select USA Investment Summit to facilitate industrial investment in that country and showcase the various business opportunities there.
Ms.Carey Arun, Principal Commercial Officer of the US Commercial Service in Chennai, has said that her office is ready to extend all possible support and assistance to the trade and industry and businessmen in Tamil Nadu to invest in various industries in the United States of America for promoting their business from there.
She was speaking at an interaction meeting organized by the Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Madurai on 21st September 2023, on the topic “Doing Business in the US’ where she gave an overview of the opportunities available in the US for business promotion.
“Ms.Carey Arun has assured that the US Commercial Service in Chennai will give guidance and assistance on which industries to invest in different States in US. There is going to be a very grand trade and industry investors summit in the US on June 23rd and 24th 2024. We call upon the trade and industry representatives of south Tamil Nadu to participate in this summit,” a press release received from the TN Chamber here yesterday, has said.
She also urged the exporters and importers in Tamil Nadu to take advantage of the website of US Commercial Service which provides information on how to start and run a business easily in the United States.
Earlier, TN Chamber president Dr.N.Jegatheesan has said in his welcome address that the chamber is having a cordial relationship with the US Commercial Service in Chennai or past several years and based on that the TN Chamber took a delegation of 45 representatives from various trade and industry to the US in the year 2013 to promote bilateral trade between Tamil Nadu and United States.
