MADURAI: The Freshers’ Day 2023 function of Velammal College of Engineering and Technology (VCET autonomous) at Viraganoor in Madurai which was held on September 13th 2023 had injected some fresh ideas and thoughts into the minds of new students who joined the college this academic year in different engineering courses and branches.
Mr.Abdul Muthalif, Head of Design-Senior Director at Cognizant, who is an alumnus of this institution was the chief guest for VCET Freshers’ Day event which was presided over by Mr.M.V.Muthuramalingam, Chairman of VEC.
“The chief guest Mr.Abdul Muthalif who is our old student of VCET in Madurai had mentioned about the generous attitude of Velammal College. He spoke about regular practice and consistency in education, and the opportunities available in engineering and design fields,” a press release from the college has informed.
Mr.M.V.Muthuramalingam, Chairman of Velammal Educational Trust, had stressed on commitment, punctuality, curiosity to learn new things, general knowledge, communication skills in English and Hindi by the students.
Dr.N.Suresh Kumar, senior principal cum coordinator of Velammal Group of Institutions-Madurai Region, had welcomed the gathering and presented a detailed report about the academic achievements and students’ success in different activities while Dr.P.Alli, Principal, VCET-Madurai, had proposed a vote of thanks.
