MADURAI: The Puli Thevar special endowment lecture of Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar (PMT) Chair was organised by PMT Chair and the School of Social Sciences of Madurai Kamaraj University here on September 1st 2023 in the department of sociology on the occasion of 308th birth anniversary of Puli Thevar, who is one of the first freedom fighters of India.
MKU Registrar in-charge Prof.M.Ramakrishnan who had delivered presidential address in today’s function spoke about integrity and the importance of keeping caste, religious affinity away just like the King Pulithevar maintained his infantry during his period.
Dr.G.Revathy Subbulakshmi who delivered the endowment lecture in MKU today had recollected the various facts in the life of Puli Thevar while the Head of Department of Tamil Studies in Sentamil College in Madurai Dr.B.Poongothai offered felicitations.
Dr.P.Rajkumar, professor and director of PMT Chair, welcomed the gathering while Dr.D.Ramakrishnan, Dean, Faculty of Arts, MKU, proposed a vote of thanks.
