MADURAI: The second year inauguration and first general body meeting of Alagappa University Social Work Association (AUSWA) took place in the Department of Social Work in university campus at Karaikudi on August 16th 2023.
Association president Dr.MA.Velusamy. who is an associate professor and Head in-charge of the department, along with vice-president Mr.Manimaran and others including teaching assistant and student convenor Mr.J.Vignesh Sabarikiran and two MSW students, spoke the objectives and role of AUSWA, according to a press release received here yesterday.
M.Aarthi, second year MSW student and association secretary, read out the annual plans of AUSWA while treasurer Ms.Vanitha (second year MSW student), spoke about membership activities.
Prof.S.Thanuskodi, faculty of arts, delivered special address and felicitated the newly elected office-bearers of the association. The views of general body members were taken in this meeting. Pascal Puthin, joint secretary and first year MSW student, had proposed a vote of thanks.
